About 12 wks old.

Athena left me in her sleep. Run swift little girl, Mama misses you.

Athena is an NGA greyhound, and was one of a litter of 10 pups that resulted due to someone leaving the gate open, and two males getting the bitch.  Instead of aborting the litter, drowning them at birth, or just killing them any old time, the breeder raised them until they were 10 wks old, before giving them to Greyhound's Homeward Bound, Inc. of Ft Worth TX.  She came to me when she was 11 wks old, and she and Myst became inseparable rather quickly.  When Myst died, poor Athena moped around the house.  We leaned on each other in our grief, and have since created a very strong bond between us.  Athena is a red brindle bitch, about 55 lb.
