Boris and Mom Nancy, and Aunt Nakita, enjoying the warm NY spring.
If ever a dog had a guardian angel, Boris was
the one.
Two days after being placed in his first Home, he was lost after
bolting through a gate. Sixteen days of no sightings had us thinking
the worst, 18 days after he went for a run, he was found, 18+ miles
from his own, weighing more than he had before he left here, with
nary a thing wrong with him.
Two and a half years later, Boris came Home to me after his first mom was tragically killed by a drunk driver. Again, a guardian Angel was watching over him. Her son just happened to call Bonnie Dalzell while I was visiting. He had no idea where the papers or the contract was, only knew his name was Boris. I'll always be thankful he made that call.
Two weeks after he came Home, Nancy asked me if
he was OK with cats,
and his Guardian Angel snuck in again.
Thank you to Susanne Fogelmann's son for
calling Bonnie, thank you for Bonnie for helping me deal with a
situation I never wanted to deal with (the loss of a friend to a
drunk) and most importantly, thank you to Nancy for taking this lost
little waif in and giving him a wonderful Home for the rest of his
life, albeit it wasn't long enough.

Grizzle,
both of whom were waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge
This site is lovingly dedicated to the memory of Schatzi, Obie, Sushi, Cleo & all my other loved ones waiting patiently for me at the Rainbow Bridge
