Kyra, Daughter Dei, Granddaughter Yanna
I
saw my first Borzoi near Kaiserslautern, Germany in 1993 and
fell instantly in love with their loving expressions, gorgeous
bodies, and sweet temperaments. I have their owner and
my good friend Teresa (Sam) Newland (Peacekeeper's
Borzoi) to thank for my love of this breed.
It wasn't
until I came back to the states, that I got my chance to buy a
Borzoi and I began the long, tedious, sometimes very frustrating,
job of finding a breeder. After an aborted first attempt, that
I later learned to appreciate, I met and fell in love with my first
Borzoi.
My first litter turned 10 9/07, and in that short decade, I have bred or
been co-breeder on only 6 litters, but the dogs from those litters
have accumulated over 23 titles (not including the 'non titles' of JC/SC) in four different countries. Yep, there are breeders who
produce more champions than I do, but they also breed and co-breed
many more litters than I ever hope to breed. I believe in
quality, not quantity and never expect or want to be a big name
breeder. I just aim to breed a well rounded
dog.
