Owner/Cobreeder Pat Hardy of

Top 20 2003 AKC Courser
Pat lost Brooks in an awful accident in
his newly fenced in backyard
We are so thankful we finally got a litter sired by him shortly before he
was lost
We both miss him so damn much it hurts.

I hounded Brooks owner & cobreeder Pat for over a year to get him
out and finish him! He started his coursing career with a 5 point BIF
win, and I knew he could finish, if he just had the chance to! She finally
relented, and he came to my house in March, 03.
At 5 1/2 yrs, he was the 2nd oldest Open Borzoi, (Heck,
the FC's were 99% of the time younger than he!) in the Northeast. Despite
this handicap, he
quickly picked up his second major(3 points) by going BOB
over competition that included most of 2002's top 5 Borzoi,
including the #1 Borzoi. He then went on to pick up an ASFA 2nd, and three
more AKC points towards his field titles. He was only out of the
points once in 2003, and that was after a bad collision with an
interfering Borzoi. Despite this, he was still ranked in the top 20!
Go old Man!! He came back to my house in the fall of 04, after
recuperating from a nasty toe fracture (Thanks to the evil Greyhound!), to pick up those last two
points to finish his DC at 7 yrs old!

AmBred class under Carol Spritzer at the DKC supported entry in March,
1999
When Brooks was born, I was
told by one of his Co Breeders to put him down, he would never amount to
anything due to his color. I'm so damn proud to be able to say, "YOU WERE
WRONG!" Thanks to his other Cobreeder, Pat Hardy, who, along with I, had
faith in this brindle wonder, he has gone above and beyond my wildest
dreams!
I AM SOO PROUD of
this boy!! And have only Pat to thank. Thank you, Pat, for all you've done with Brooks, and
for me. If it weren't for her, Brooks would've never've gone so far!
Thank you, for having the same faith I did in the
'spider boy.'
Brooks was the
SUPER PUPPY!! I knew when he popped out,
he was something special, and he proved this over and over again. He has been the winner of MANY firsts:
First Specialty Placement
First Best Puppy in Specialty Show
First Best in Field Borzoi (GSSA 12/4/99)
Specialty Best in Show (A first for
both Pat & I) he is one of a handful of Borzoi who've gone BIF and
SBIS!!
FIRST Dual Champion!
FIRST CD!
Brooks was used only twice, with his youngest litter
just being a year old.
