Grins is my silly, goofy, grinning, dancing, clacking, silly boy. I love this dog.
Unfortunately, due to an injury, he'll never see the ring seriously. Doesn't matter, he has nothing to prove, having done everything I've asked of him over the years and more, including placing 11th out of a huge LGRA Entry at the 2009 Nationals, even tho he was 2X the age of many of the other dogs.

Grins has been bred only four times.  His first litter bred by Mufasa Borzoi produced
  MBIF FC Mufasa's Stormy Monday SC, LCX, FCH, GRC
Novel was #1 AKC Coursing Borzoi in 2008
His second litter bred by me, produced
MBIF Mielikki's Dir Shepard At Silkenswift FCh, SGRC
Jenny was #1 LGRA Borzoi in 2011
His last two litters are still young, but we look forward to seeing
them on the field in future years!
 

 A very silly, sweet, intelligent & affectionate boy who loves everybody,
Grins is a fast fiend on the field, finishing his AKC FC in 6 trials(3 majors & multiple BOB)
and his ASFA FCh in 5 trials, with 4 1sts,  3 BOB and exciting wins that include BOB Reg 9 Invitational and 2nd in a full Stake at the BCOA 2004 Nationals ASFA trial. His GRC was
 equally as exciting, with a 1st place at GSSA STARS and then at 5.5 yrs was
 2nd place in a 12 & 9 dog entry( to his cousin Gossip) to finish

 

  He's definitely a fast bugger and comes out of the box like grease lightening.
He's definitely a dog who can do it all

Grins suffered a devastating setback after the II in 2005, which almost killed him.  He developed Azoturia (ran his back off), didn't show any symptoms til 1 at night and spent a week at two different Vet ERs. He's recovered, but doesn't have the speed nor the stamina he once had. Despite that, he finished his ORC in five events, winning an 8 dog meet at 5+ to get the last 2.5 points he needed.  He came back out at 5 yrs 7 months, and picked up an additional 3 points towards his SORC with another meet win! He'll be out and about as weather permits!

   He doesn't have to prove anything to me, as he's already shown me he could do it all.

He is a chinchilla who also carries the color blue

His grandsires are two of my all time favorites: DC Silkenswift Blaze of Chaos SC, CD, LCM4, SORCII, SGRC and DC Mufasa Midnite O' Silkenswift, SC FCh ORC. This litter is linebred on some famous coursing dogs, as well as  Ch Windrift Kindred Spirit.


Grins was 7 months old in this pic, and had never seen a kid
