In a freak accident in my yard, Rinka broke her neck
playing when she
slammed into a wooden dog house frozen in 12+ inches of ice.
She always lived life to the fullest, doing nothing in slow motion and left
life the same way she had lived it: at warp speed. I'll miss my
happy faced, sweet girl.
DON'T GRIEVE TOO LONG
Don't grieve too long for now I'm free
I've followed the path God set for me
I ran to Him when I heard His call
I swished my tail and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To bark, to love, to romp or play
Games left unplayed must stay that way
I found such peace; it made my day.
My parting has left you with a void
Please feel it with remembered joy
A friendship shared, your laugh, a kiss
Oh yes, these things I too shall miss
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow
My life's been full, you've given so much
Your time, your love and gentle touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your head and share with me
God wanted me; He set me free!!
Tho I'm not religious, this poem helped me get over the grief of losing
such a promising star.

Rinka at 4.5 yrs of age, ungroomed.
Sabre's last born daughter, Rinka was my pick of my first litter. A BEAUTIFUL white & BRIGHT red bitch, I had high hopes for this little girl. Full dentition, wonderful temperament, balanced movement, everything I could want and more.
The prankster, she had pixie blood in her. She'd grab something off the counter, grab a mouthful and head for the hills, leaving Rio to be found with his head in the bag, while she laughed. She got into the garbage one night, hiding her choice bits behind the cushions of the couch, and the next day as my ex was watching football, she came waltzing in, rooted behind the cushions, and walked proudly away with an empty butter bottle.
Shortly after her first birthday, she was attacked at a show and hated showing. Months of working with her, months of showing her it was fun, and at 2.5, she took her first and sadly, only point. A slow maturer like her sire's line, I put her up to mature, and things got away from me. She produced a lovely litter for us sired by distance cousin Can Ch Stillwater Into the Twilight. Winter of 03/04, I looked at her and realized she had finally matured enough to be competitive, only it was too late. Would've, should've, could've. . .I miss my Evil Girl so much.

Rinka loved kids, so it helps my hurting heart to think she's in heaven with
my niece Molly, keeping the angels hopping, Grandpa &
our uncles running, and Schatzi on his toes
Rinka hit mostly specialties, and was met with welcome & open arms by the breeder judges there. Lorraine Groshans, Mary Childs, Shen Smith, Robin Riel, Carol Spritzer & Dick Meen all saw what I did in my Evil Red Head.

We tried coursing, and although she showed great exuberance, she wasn't quite sure what to do when the bunny turned, and would come back to mom, trotting so proudly as if to say "See, Mom, I chased that mean ole piece of plastic away!"
Bred only once, the three show pups out of the Twilight litter are pointed in the ring, with her son Umbra having hit the ring by storm, collecting his points easily, including BOB for a 3 point major.
Love you Rinka Roo. . don't drive the Angels too nuts. . . .
