As if my heart hadn't had enough that year,
Rio left me due to bloat to be with his girls Kyra, Rinka , Abbie & Cleo.

After a huge disappointment surrounding another male Borzoi I had been waiting three years for,  I was given Rio.  He hailed all the way over the great blue ocean from my old stomping grounds in Germany, from my friend of many years, Teresa Newland (Peacekeepers Borzoi).

Rio came at just the right time, as I needed him to show me the world wasn't all bad, and he was the perfect medicine for me. Where tears had been, laughter now resides, as this natural clown snuggled his way into our hearts with his goofy antics.   Without him, I'd've gotten out of Borzoi, given up due to the nasty petty, backstabbing crap that pervades this breed.

I am SO VERY VERY thankful to Sam and Rick, for giving me this boy. He was shown four times as a puppy until the helpful insight of a competitor helped me SEE what it was that had been bothering me. He then was retired to the job of just being the household goof.

He was nothing more than my giant red headed pet, but he was special
